The NDNRC is a collaborative effort that brings together nurses in clinical, academic, and leadership positions from across the state. Our vision is to establish a standard of excellence in clinical education, foster high-quality, supportive practice environments for nurses, translate nursing research into practice, and ensure the collective voice of nurses is well represented.
Our mission is to conduct interprofessional research with the goal of demonstrating the value of the nursing workforce and improving healthcare outcomes. To achieve this mission, we have outlined specific objectives, including bringing together academic, clinical, and organizational partners, developing integrated research teams, identifying areas of nursing research need, combining resources for optimal project design, and conducting collaborative research to enhance nursing outcomes.
Currently, we are focusing on a survey to describe the status of the nursing workforce employment in North Dakota. The survey will gather data on filled and vacant FTE nursing positions, turnover frequency, and retention strategies used in the ND nursing workforce. Your participation in this survey is crucial to obtaining accurate and specific information about the status of the nursing workforce employment in ND.
Your valuable input will contribute to a precise depiction of the status of the nursing workforce employment in ND. Your participation is anonymous and voluntary, and you can withdraw from the study at any time; submitting the survey indicates your consent to participate. This research study has received approval from the University of North Dakota’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), protocol #0006244.
You will be asked to respond to a maximum of 30 questions in a Qualtrics online survey. This may take up to 15 minutes to complete. The nature of the questions may require additional information or time to obtain. The Qualtrics system will allow you to save responses, exit the survey, and return later for completion. The survey will close on October 31, 2024. To have your information included, please complete the survey prior to the close date.
Your willingness to contribute to this important research is appreciated. We are confident your insights will enhance our collective understanding of the nursing workforce employment in ND. A copy of the report on this study's outcomes will be available at completion.
If you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact Dr. Jana Zwilling (PI) at ndnrc@und.edu.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
We look forward to your participation in the North Dakota Nursing Research Collaborative’s survey on the status of the nursing workforce employment in ND.
