Call for Presentations: 2024 Dakota Conference

Rural and public health professionals are encouraged to submit abstracts for the 2024 Dakota Conference on Rural and Public Health. Oral and poster presentations should feature community or research projects that can be replicated. They should implement creative strategies that facilitate the collaboration between rural and public health entities with an emphasis on education and developing partnerships.

Deadline: Abstract submissions must be received no later than 5:00 pm Central on October 10.

Outstanding Rural Health Awards Nominations

Nomination Deadline: February 13, 2024

Each year, champions of rural healthcare are honored with awards at the Dakota Conference. We are asking for nominations for nine of these awards:

  • Outstanding Rural Health Provider Award
  • Outstanding Rural Health Professional Award
  • Outstanding Rural Health Volunteer Award
  • Outstanding Rural Educator/Mentor Award
  • Emerging Rural Leader Award
  • Legislator of the Year Award
  • Outstanding Rural Health Program Award
  • Outstanding Rural Health Career Award
  • Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award

Submit Your Nomination

Individuals who nominate a selected awardee will be responsible for submitting approximately 10 photos of the awardee that will be displayed during the awards presentation on June 5.

Scholarship Funds Available

Application Deadline: March 1, 2024 @ 5:00 pm Central

A limited number of scholarships are available to cover registration costs for the Dakota Conference through the State Office of Rural Health grant program at the Center for Rural Health. The funds will cover the conference registration fee only – hotel and travel are not covered. Preference will be given to applicants who are attending the conference for the first time.
